Ostia, is an abstract re-enactment of the murder of Pier Paolo Pasolini who in 1975 was ran over several times with his own Alfa Romeo at a beach in Ostia, Italy. The single channel video, shot from the driver-seat point of view, positions the viewer at the assassin's gaze. Okón returns to this crime scene to consider the interstice between aesthetics and obscenity: that political space from which artists "speak truth to power".
